The coconut fever continues…

I decided to make my own coconut milk! This link <; pushed me to embark on this adventure because it discussed the benefits of using your own coconut milk. I’m very happy with the results. It tastes the same (if not better) than the coconut milk I usually buy from the grocery store, and it contains far less ingredients. It took almost no time to make and was WAY cheaper than buying a carton of coconut milk from Kroger.

If you don’t feel like opening the link all you need is: a food processor, hot water, something to filter flakes out (I used a tea leaf filter), a container to store your milk in,and organic,unsweetened, shredded coconuts

Heat 1 cup of water until it starts to reach a slow boil. As it’s heating up measure 1/2 cup of coconut flakes and put those in the food…
